What are the manufacturing processes for titanium flange blocks!
Manufacturing process of titanium flange block:
1、 Precision casting
Titanium flanges suitable for complex internal structures or special performance requirements can meet high-precision and complex shape requirements through precision casting technology.
2、 Forging (including forging)
Forging is one of the main manufacturing processes for titanium flange blocks, including:
Open forging: Similar to traditional forging techniques, it has low cost but low precision, suitable for parts with simple shapes.
Closed forging: using molds for extrusion molding, saving materials and achieving high precision, but with strict requirements for deformation speed.
Isothermal forging: The mold and billet deform at the same temperature, resulting in low internal stress and high precision. It is commonly used in high demand fields such as aerospace.
3、 Welding
For applications that require extremely high sealing and structural strength, such as pressure vessels or chemical equipment, titanium flanges can be welded together. Common welding methods include tungsten inert gas welding, melting electrode argon arc welding, etc.
4、 Other processes
Mechanical processing: Precision machining of forgings or castings through turning, milling, and other methods to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Surface treatment: including polishing, sandblasting, anodizing, etc., to enhance corrosion resistance and surface quality.
