Specification for Storage and Preservation of Titanium Standard Parts!
1、 Storage environment control
1. Temperature and humidity requirements:
The temperature should be controlled at 20-25 ℃ to avoid material brittleness or oxidation caused by extreme high or low temperatures.
The relative humidity should be maintained at 30% -50%. High humidity can easily cause corrosion, while low humidity may cause cracking of titanium materials.
2. Environmental isolation:
Stay away from corrosive substances such as acid, alkali, salt, etc., avoid contact with magnetic objects or power equipment, and prevent interference from electric/magnetic fields.
The warehouse needs good ventilation to avoid direct sunlight causing deformation or discoloration of titanium materials.
2、 Storage method selection
1. Classified storage by specifications:
Large items: can be stacked outdoors, but need to be covered with waterproof cloth and raised at the bottom.
Small and medium-sized parts: stored in a ventilated shed, isolated from the ground with wooden pads and covered with dust covers.
Precision parts/powders: require a dedicated enclosed warehouse to prevent oxidation.
2. Stacking specifications:
Titanium plates and strips should be placed flat to avoid deformation caused by excessive stacking.
Titanium tubes need to be fixed with vertical or horizontal brackets to prevent bending or collision damage.
3、 Packaging and protective measures
1. Sealed packaging:
High purity titanium standard parts need to be evacuated and filled with inert gas, and double sealed with composite plastic bags and iron drums.
Ordinary titanium materials are wrapped in moisture-proof paper or plastic film to avoid contact with water vapor.
2. Identification management: Each batch of titanium materials must be labeled with material grade, storage time, and storage location for easy traceability.
4、 Maintenance and Inspection
1. Regular inspection:
Check the temperature and humidity records of the warehouse and the sealing of the packaging every month, with a focus on investigating the corrosion of welds and connections.
Clean up inventory every quarter, prioritize the use of early received materials, and avoid overdue storage.
2. Exception handling:
When oxidation or contamination is detected, immediately isolate the problematic parts and clean the surface with acetone or alcohol.
Titanium powder leakage should be collected using explosion-proof tools to avoid friction or static electricity causing combustion.
Summary: By reasonably planning the storage environment and standardizing management, the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of titanium standard parts can be effectively guaranteed, reducing the loss rate and extending the service life.
