Comprehensive guide for TC4 titanium plate processing and use!
1、 Key points of processing technology
1. Optimization of cutting parameters
Recommend using hard alloy cutting tools with a speed controlled between 50-80m/min;
Suggested feed rate is 0.1-0.3mm/r, cutting depth is 1-3mm;
Emulsified coolant should be used to reduce cutting temperature during processing.
2. Heat treatment specifications
Solution treatment temperature: 950-980 ℃ (β phase zone);
Time treatment temperature: 550 ± 10 ℃, insulation for 4-6 hours;
Annealing temperature: 700-750 ℃ (stress relief).
3. Welding process
Priority should be given to vacuum electron beam welding or plasma arc welding;
The protective gas requires the use of 99.999% high-purity argon gas.
2、 Precautions for use
1. Aerospace applications
Suitable for manufacturing key components such as aircraft landing gear and engine blades;
Working temperature limit: Long term use ≤ 400 ℃, short-term use ≤ 550 ℃.
2. Corrosion environment selection
Excellent performance in seawater and chloride ion environments;
Avoid use in reducing acid (such as hydrochloric acid) environments.
3、 Quality Control Standards
1. Mechanical performance requirements: Tensile strength ≥ 895MPa; Yield strength ≥ 825MPa; Elongation rate ≥ 10%.
2. Surface treatment requirements: After acid washing, the surface roughness Ra should be ≤ 1.6 μ m; The recommended thickness for the anodic oxide film is 5-15 μ m.
